USING FILTERS

Filters allow you to customize the data shown on a dashboard.

  • Filters are located at the top of the dashboard
  • Click on a filter to update it
  • Choose a condition (e.g., is equal to, contains)
  • Select values by:
    • Typing into the search box, or
    • Selecting from the dropdown list using checkboxes
  • You can select multiple values within a filter

 

TIPS:

  • Click View → Refresh to update result
  • Click View → Reset Default Filters to return to the original view

 

DOWNLOADING A DASHBOARD

You can download dashboard data in several formats, depending on how you plan to use or share the information.

To download a dashboard:

  1. Click File in the upper-left corner of the dashboard.
  2. Select Download.
  1. Choose your preferred file format:
  • PDF
  • PNG image
  • Excel file
  • CSV files — downloaded as a zipped folder
  1. Adjust any optional download settings:
  • Expand tables
  • Arrange dashboard tiles in a single column
  • Show or hide filter values
  1. Click Create File to generate your download.

Once the file is created, follow your browser’s prompts to open or save it.

 

SCHEDULING DASHBOARD DELIVERIES

You can schedule dashboards or tiles to be sent automatically.

  1. Click File → Deliveries & Alerts

  2. Select Schedule
  3. Choose what to send:
    • Full dashboard or specific tiles
  4. Set the destination (commonly email)
  5. Configure delivery details:
    • Name the delivery
    • Set frequency (daily, weekly, or custom)
    • Choose time and time zone
  6. (Optional) Apply filters specific to this delivery
    (These do not change the dashboard itself)
  7. Add recipients and customize:
    • Email subject
    • Message body
  8. Click Send Test (optional), then Save

 

EXPLORING A DASHBOARD TILE

Use Explore when you want to take a closer look at the data behind a dashboard tile. Explore lets you view the tile’s fields, adjust filters, and switch between the visualization and the underlying results.

Open Explore

  1. Click the three-dot menu in the upper-right corner of the dashboard tile.
  2. Select Explore.

Review the tile data

In Explore, a new tab or embedded view opens. From here, you can choose how you want to review the data:

  • Available fields appear on the left panel
  • Choose between:
    • Visualization: view the chart or graph. 
    • Data: view the underlying results. 
    • Both: view the visualization and data together.

To modify data:

Use the field panel to adjust what appears in the Explore view.

You can:

  • Add fields by clicking them
  • View active fields under “In Use”
  • Add filters:
    • Hover over a field → click the three dots
    • Select Filter

Refresh the results:

  • Explore may update automatically as you make changes.

  • If the results do not update, click Run to refresh the query.
