Adding Zones
Zones, also known as geofences, are identified landmarks, or areas of interest, that can be used to categorize offices, customers, suppliers, yard locations, warehouses, and home locations. Zones can be created one at a time, or in bulk. After creation, zones are easy to update and alter as needed within the MyGeotab interface. Click the video below to learn how to create zones within MyGeotab.
Editing Zones
Zones in MyGeotab can have customized settings like visibility on the map, group assignments, and types. If a user would like to edit a specific zone that has already been created, MyGeotab has accommodated for such situations. If you are interested in editing a specific zone after it has been created, the video below offers more information.
Mass Editing Zones
Zones in MyGeotab can have customized settings like visibility on the map, group assignments, and types. Mass editing can be used to apply these settings and make changes to multiple zones at the same time. Click the video below for more information on how to mass edit zones after they have been created.
Zone Notification
MyGeotab users have the ability to create rules based on vehicles entering, exiting, or stopping inside of designated zones. This feature is useful for fleet managers, who want to closely monitor customer visits, be notified if a driver leaves a designated area, or if any vehicles drive into a restricted zone. Click the video below to learn more about MyGeotab’s Zone Notification functionality.
Customer Visit Report
The Customer Visits Report can be helpful in monitoring productivity within your fleet. Despite the name, this report can be used for stops in all zones, and not just customer locations. After zones have been added to your database, the Customer Visits Report can be useful to fleet managers interested in where stops throughout their fleet occur.
